Human Resource Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam, when contacted by Bernama, confirmed that maid agencies in Indonesia would be required to send only trained maids and to provide suitable replacements.

Some of the points that had been agreed upon by both countries dealt with the passport problem, cost structure and the off day for maids.

(The use of proper workwear / uniforms is highly encouraged, as it dealt with promoting morale and work effectiveness. In Indonesia, maid uniforms are common in many households.)
